At the age of 17 Jeroen's Blackspecs spotted an Australian exchange student. The encounter resulted in a wonderful friendship. As she moved back to
the country of the amber nectar, they still exchanged their thoughts and ideas -in letters - that after a while became more and more colorful, covered
in drawings, cuttings and sketches: Jeroens love with mail art was born!! Today he is exchanging Mail Art with people from Japan, New York, South
Korea, Australia and all over Europe. He has been greatly inspired by the German illustrator and mail artist Sibylle Schwarz, who he considers to
be a master and great teacher of the subject.
